Not My Business, K-O'K OUT, Bachman's Revenge

I know many people are fascinated by Josh Hamilton's relapse, but I don't think it's any of my business. He's a baseball player. It made me feel uncomfortable to see Hamilton have a news conference, which all major sports networks carried live, and watch Hamilton talk about his struggles with sobriety. I hope that it in some way helped Hamilton. He owes me no details. It's his private business. It's not even baseball season...

Many Hawkeye football fans finally get what they want: Ken O'Keefe gone. Iowa confirms O'Keefe is leaving the Hawkeyes. (It should soon be announced O'Keefe's joining Joe Philbin's staff in Miami. The new Dolphins head coach is a former Iowa assistant who worked with O'Keefe.) O'Keefe served as Iowa's offensive coordinator for 13 years. Iowa finished in the top ten four times during that period, but O'Keefe's conservative, predictable play-calling drove many Hawk fans nuts. There's no doubt, O'Keefe ran the offense the way Kirk Ferentz wanted, but it also seems an infusion of fresh energy and new ideas is wanted and welcome...

We had John Bachman on our radio show Friday. I love that guy. John told entertaining stories, and I learned a few things. Rather, I confirmed a few things. That glorious hair is real, John has never tanned, and he can't get enough golf...

Bachman finally beat Round Guy at ping-pong Friday night. Round Guy suggests John can now retire...

Can't wait to see the 86-87 Hawkeye team back together again Saturday. I'm sure it will make many of us realize times flies

I need to go bunker down for Snowmaggedon. Or an inch of snow. Whichever happens...
