If ever there were a tipping point with BCS and bowl season dissatisfaction, it's right now. If this year doesn't bring much needed change to college football, nothing will. It will happen as soon as college athletic directors and presidents realize how much money they're leaving on the table---and it's a staggering amount---by not organizing a playoff that will make the post-season matter again...
The BCS title game was a snoozefest. Worst one of all time. No one wants to see that many field goal attempts, not even a field goal kicker. LSU, the only team with an indisputable path to #1, never even scored. Alabama rolls 21-0 (five field goals, one late TD, missed extra point). The Crimson Tide are national champs, even though they didn't even win their conference! Wait, what? The system is such a sham, LSU claimed after losing the title game that it still deserved the #1 ranking, and it actually makes some sense (but not much)...
Even the halftime entertainment was missed field goal attempts...
Nick Saban can flat out coach. He's now won three of the past seven BCS titles, and still found time for a cameo in The Blind Side. Saban even smiled once Monday night...
In the upset of the night, Gene Chizik did a pretty good job as an analyst for ESPN. Chizik in Ames often showed all the personality of a bottle cap liner, but he can apparently turn it on when he wants...

Although I agree it was a horrible game and it's time to change the system, but I'm not buying the argument that a team who didn't win their conference doesn't deserve to be called National Champions. In every other sport this is possible with the implementation of the Wildcard. Teams can't be faulted for the flawed system, they won the game deemed the "National Championship" and are therefore "National Champions."
I'm hungry.

The BCS championship game could have been titled, Boring College Spectacle.
I would rather see a player fall off the bench than watch so many field goals.
