Is it 1987?

I felt like a kid watching Iowa and Iowa State play basketball on Friday night. For the first time in a long time, the Cyclones and Hawkeyes provided (mostly) 40 minutes of fast-paced, entertaining basketball. Here's hoping Fran and Fred can make this rivalry a big deal again.

How long can Scott Christopherson keep shooting like this? I'm blown away by the guy. He's averaging 3.5 made 3-pointers per game and shooting 59% from beyond the arc this season. 59 percent! At ISU media day back in October, Hoiberg went on at length about how much time Christopherson had spent in the gym during the off-season, but we always hear those kind of stories on media day. I guess it wasn't just lip-service.
