It's always cool to see a local kid make it big, so kudos to Joel Hanrahan on getting his Norwalk HS baseball jersey retired. Hanrahan is the first Norwalk athlete ever to have his number retired.

I wish I could have stayed longer at the Ankeny-Johnston boys game Friday night, but I was only able to catch the first quarter because I had to get back to the studio. Both teams are salty good. The Hawks won the battle of unbeatens in overtime, but something tells me the teams will meet again in March.

Drake vs. Iowa Saturday night... who you got? I say Hawks by double-digits.
